How DMZ Scuba handles information when you contact us, register for events, request training or travel details, or interact with our ads.
Effective date: August 23, 2026
DMZ Scuba respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through dmzscuba.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, online forms, event alerts, training inquiries, travel inquiries, customer accounts, and any advertising-related activity connected to this website.
You can browse the public website without an account. If you create an account, the information connected to it is used to provide the account features and services you request.
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, group size, certification level, training goals, travel interests, preferred dates, and message details when you submit a form or contact us.
If you register for an event, class, dive day, or trip, we may collect registration details needed to plan, communicate, confirm attendance, and support the activity.
If you create an account or submit a booking, we may collect your verified email address, profile details, phone number, birthdate, scheduling preferences, discount-eligibility request, certification details, recent diving activity, equipment or training needs, and records connected to your classes, trips, events, or bookings.
When online payment is enabled, payment details are collected by our payment processor. DMZ Scuba stores the resulting transaction identifiers, amounts, and payment status, but does not store complete card numbers or security codes.
Our website does not require visitors to create an account. Basic technical information may be processed by our website hosting, security, form, email, or advertising providers when needed to load the site, protect it from abuse, deliver messages, or measure ad performance if those tools are enabled.
We use the information we collect to operate DMZ Scuba, respond to requests, and improve the website experience.
DMZ Scuba uses a strictly necessary, HTTP-only cookie to renew a signed-in customer's account session. This cookie is not used for advertising and cannot be read by website scripts. If you only browse the website and do not submit a form or sign in, we generally do not receive your name, email address, phone number, or message details from that visit.
DMZ Scuba uses limited first-party measurement on training pages to understand the path from a course-page visit to an inquiry. We record the event type, page path, course, broad device category, campaign labels, and a random per-tab session ID. These funnel records do not include full URL query strings, IP addresses, user-agent strings, names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages, or form-field contents.
If DMZ Scuba enables Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, conversion tracking, remarketing, pixels, tags, or similar advertising and analytics tools, those providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, device identifiers, or similar technologies. These tools may help measure marketing performance, understand website activity, and show more relevant ads to people who have visited our website.
When advertising tools are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may show DMZ Scuba ads on websites, apps, and services across the internet. These vendors may use cookies and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on someone's past visits to dmzscuba.com or interactions with DMZ Scuba.
DMZ Scuba may use advertising features such as conversion tracking, remarketing, audience segments, or similar tools only when those services are configured for the website or advertising campaigns. These tools can help us reach people who previously visited our website with relevant messages about scuba training, dive travel, events, or related services.
DMZ Scuba does not knowingly use sensitive personal information, such as health, race, religion, sexual orientation, or similar sensitive categories, to personalize advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information only when it is needed to operate the business or provide services you request.
Some privacy laws may define certain advertising cookies, pixels, device identifiers, or cross-context advertising activity as "sharing" or "targeted advertising." If those tools are enabled, you can use the choices below to limit that activity.
If Google advertising tools are enabled, you can manage or opt out of personalized ads from Google at myadcenter.google.com.
If third-party advertising tools are enabled, you can learn about ad choices through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings and control device identifiers through your device settings.
You may also contact us to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or limits on the personal information we maintain about you, subject to legal, safety, and operational requirements.
You may also sign in to correct available profile or certification details. Contact us if you need help accessing, correcting, exporting, or deleting other account information.
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including customer communication, class and trip planning, business records, legal compliance, safety, and dispute resolution. Closing an account does not necessarily delete records that DMZ Scuba must retain for safety, legal, tax, insurance, transaction, or dispute-resolution purposes. We may retain less detailed or aggregated information for analytics and business planning. First-party training-funnel records are automatically deleted after 400 days.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No website, email, form, or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
DMZ Scuba offers programs that may involve youth divers, but our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided information without proper permission, contact us.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the website after an update means the updated policy applies.
Contact DMZ Scuba if you have questions about this policy or your information.
